WE ARE ABOUT GREAT FOOD...
From humble beginnings, Gaby & Emma Gabaldon started serving their delicious recipes, with a tiny kitchen in the back of this original home in 1951. Emma’s unique and flavorful dishes wowed and amazed guests from all over. Casa Mañana soon became the destination restaurant of the Gila Valley. As time progressed Casa Mañana continued to grow in popularity. The Gabaldon’s moved their home next door to allow Casa Mañana to grow. Converting the house into an open dining room and adding a bigger kitchen.
Clean facility. Nice people working there. Good food. Not very spicy, so order extra sauce if that’s your thing.
Typical Arizona Mexican style food. Beans were exceptional. Everything else was good
We have eaten here quite a few times food used to be better, Don't know if they are following the new trend of cheaper ingredients, poor preparation, don't care or just lazy. But the chips were stale, serving sizes smaller, food not hot, no flavor in their sauce, salsa bland. I guess we will just eat out else where or just cook at home, because this is beginning to be a trend in safford, restaurants seem to want more money for less quality, less serving sizes and less service . I had the tamale meal enchilada style, sauce was bad no flavor, and I don't know what that meat was in the tamale but it didn't look like meat , looked like someone had chewed it first them made a tamale with it. Was not impressed. Good luck eating here.
My Wife and I shared lunch special lunch with two tacos, rice and beans and the food was good. We will be back.
We have ate here many times. However Saturday’s visit was not near as enjoyable as previous visits. Being a reward member, we received a basket of flour chips. Usually they are amazing! However this time, they were all overcooked and dark in color. Two of us ordered chimichangas and the same as well on the frying of those. Both ends were over fried and had an aftertaste like old oil was used. It may have been an off day for the cook, but when you spend almost $100 on a family meal, it is disappointing to receive over cooked food because someone wasn’t paying attention. In addition, the meat has an “canned” taste and not fresh cooked making it feel like a cheap plate even though it was not. One suggestion would be to make the kids meals larger or consider a separate section for older kids. For the price, the serving of a few mini corn dogs OR boxed macaroni, fries and a small drink feels like a waste and leaves older kids still hungry. I understand not have a large portion for small children but for the 5-6+ age range, they are still hungry when done. Our server was attentive, not overly friendly but did made sure to check in often to make sure we didn’t need anything.
